1973 This was my first album with El Chicano and it was thier fourth. It was recorded at Larabee Studios. We had a ball. I got to include a song that I wrote as ateenager "Enchanted Forest".

1974 We recorded this album after returning from a central america tour. We were quite influenced by the local music and even found a song "Children Children" that we recorded. It was the bands fifth album hence the title "Cinco".

1975 A song "The Best of Everything" was submitted to us that we liked and had desided to use as the theme. We didn't want our fans to think it was "A Best of" album that's why we used the mansion, chauffer and period cloths.

1976 Someone happend to come to arehersal with this picture etched on leather in color. We loved it and thought that it would be perfect for the album cover. We came up with a name and wrote a song for it.

1977 We simply called the album "This is El Chicano" because the group litterally produced everything.

1978 My friend Roland Bautista asked me to sing on his solo album and start a band, so we did. It was produced by the legendary horn player from the Crusaders Wayne Henderson on ABC Records.

1988 I was very happy that MCA wanted to put this one out and pleased with the song selection.

1998 The Re-issue of "This is El Chicano" made us happy, especially with the new art work inside and out.

2004 This was a big deal for us. Think about it. A band of hispanic guys who have enough songs and history to put a 20th Century Millennium collection out and along side of "The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Olivia Newton John" who used to open for us.
